What’s included

  • Carpet, pad, tack strip and staples removed
  • Each tread covered in plank with a matching stair nose
  • White or matching risers
  • Landings, winders and curved starter steps fitted
  • Clean transitions to the floors above and below

Matched to your floors

We use the same plank as the floor at the top or bottom of the stairs, so the color carries from one level to the next.

Made for foot traffic

Stair nose pieces are glued and taped while the adhesive cures, so the front edge stays tight where every step lands.

Curves, landings and winders

Bullnose starter steps, pie-shaped winders and mitered landings take the most time to get right. They are also where you can tell a careful install from a quick one.

Questions people ask

Can you install flooring I already bought?

Yes. Many of our customers buy their plank at Floor & Decor, Lowe’s, Home Depot or a flooring warehouse and hire us for the install. If you haven’t bought yet, we’ll tell you how much to order and what trim and stair nose you’ll need.

How long does a staircase take?

Most staircases take one to two days. Adhesive on the treads needs time to cure, so we tape each step and you can usually use the stairs carefully that evening.

Can the stairs match my new floor?

Yes. Most plank lines sell a matching stair nose, so the treads and the floor at the top and bottom can be the same color.

How much will it cost?

It depends on the square footage, what has to come out first, and how flat the floor is underneath. Text us a few photos and rough room sizes and we’ll send a written quote with removal, prep, trim and stairs priced line by line.
